We celebrate 2 sacraments in our faith tradition: communion and baptism. Through these sacraments, we believe that something ordinary—water, bread, wine—can lead us deeper into God’s presence. To see our lives “sacramentally” would mean to see lots of ordinary moments and items and see beyond them to God’s presence that can be found in them. This book considers a single ordinary day of our lives and shares how we can experience it more sacramentally; how doing the dishes or making our bed can lead us deeper into an experience of God.
Free copies of the book will be available in the church office and at the worship entrances beginning October 1. Any are welcome to borrow a copy, read it, and share it with another church member or a friend. The gathering on November 17th will focus on how sacramental living changes our lives and how we have experienced implementing any of the practices described in the book.
There will be free childcare.
