King Speaker: Chris Hoke @ First Presbyterian Fellowship Hall
Apr 2 @ 10:00 am – 11:00 am

Join Chris Hoke, JAIL CHAPLAIN | GANG PASTOR | AUTHOR of the book WANTED: A Spiritual Pursuit Through Jail, Among Outlaws, and Across Borders as he shares sublime tales—sometimes comic, other times heartbreaking—of sacred moments in unlikely situations: singing with someone who attempted suicide in the jail’s isolation cell, dodging immigration and airport security with migrant farmworkers, and fly-fishing with tattooed gangsters.

A part of the King Lecture Series, the 10am lecture will focus on an excerpt from “Fire in the Hole,” the final chapter in WANTED, about solitary confinement, mass incarceration, Neaners’ fireball story as an invitation into recovering Jesus’ founding imagination of the church/ekklesia.
