Dear Hobson families,
Student and staff health and safety is the number one concern for our families here at Hobson. As you all know, we usually follow the Fort Smith Public Schools’ schedule. However, so that you can have the time you need, we WILL BE OPEN TOMORROW (Monday, March 16th).
We hope this time helps you make an alternate plan for your children because, STARTING TUESDAY, March 17th, we will follow the governor’s mandate and close. While we realize that day cares are, at this point, not included in the mandate, we have over 90 people in our building on any given day and we do not want to be part of the spread of this virus. We will continue to monitor local conditions with health officials and local leaders and hope to reopen on Monday, March 30th.
Hobson has in place daily cleaning practices to ensure that each area of the classrooms are disinfected and sanitized at various times throughout the day. We will also bring in staff to do a deep cleaning during the time we are closed.
Hobson families will not be charged for any days we are closed. Office staff will contact parents regarding their automatic draft payments and payments made in the office. Please let us know of any questions or concerns you may have.
Hobson is not only dedicated to our families but also to our staff. Please know that the staff will be taken care of. We do not want to make a difficult time more difficult for anyone.
We understand that some area businesses may not be closing. In the event that you have asked a Hobson staff member to assist your family with child care, please be advised of a waiver releasing Hobson Preschool of any liability. Please follow the link provided. Acknowledgement of Private Childcare.
Thank you for your patience as we navigate this unprecedented territory.
