TO PROMOTE THE GREAT ENDS OF THE CHURCH
First Presbyterian exists to promote the great ends of the church which are: the proclamation of the gospel for the salvation of humankind; the shelter, nurture and spiritual fellowship of the children of God; the maintenance of worship; the preservation of truth, the promotion of social righteousness; and the exhibition of the Kingdom of Heaven to the world.  (See the Book of Confessions G-1.0200)


TO BE ENGAGED IN MISSION
As a family of God’s people, we are called to extend Christ’s love through worship, prayer, fellowship and the study of scripture.  We are to be spiritually alive witnesses in the world by reaching out to the unchurched in our community and beyond and by expressing the love of Christ through care and outreach all to the glory of God.
