IT’S CHRISTMAS STORE TIME AGAIN
The First Presbyterian Christmas Store is right around the corner. Volunteers are needed to help price gifts, do inventory, decorate, serve as shopping assistants, help set up. Most importantly, we need gifts, gift tags, gift bags, and cash donations for the store! If you are purchasing toys, only buy items priced between $10-$45, leaving the price tags on. Suggested stores for all gifts: Walmart, Target, TJ Maxx, Kohl's, JC Penny, Burlington, Carters, Ollie's Brand Outlet, Hobby Lobby, Michael's Arts & Crafts, Books-A-Million, Walgreens, Amazon, and other online retailers. If you can shop at local, small businesses, please do! Look for those Black Friday sales.
Our Christmas store is designed to empower struggling families to purchase their own gifts. We provide quality gifts, then reduce their price tags so families can afford to buy them. You can turn in gifts to the church office or contact Mission Chair, Debra Thames or Keley Simpson, if you would like to volunteer. Below is a shopping list of requested toys. Please bring toys to the office by December 4.
For Infants & Toddlers (Ages 0-2 years old):
Baby bouncers, sleep suits, socks, baby wrist rattle socks, baby essentials kits, blanket set or swaddle blankets, bottle warmers, toys that encourage speech/crawling/walking, soft interactive toys, activity gyms, cars, dump trucks, baby dolls, soft activity toys and books, sensory toys, baby strollers, wagons
For Grade School Children:
Barbie dolls ( most kids prefer “real” Barbies and dolls of a variety of ethnicities are popular), Disney Princess themed dolls, Monster High Dolls (this has been requested), Gabby's Dollhouse dolls, Wicked lego sets and dress up costumes, Easy Bake Oven (requested), OMG Dolls, LOL Surprise, Lego sets, remote control monster vehicles, PJ Masks Deluxe Figure Set or any PJ toy, arts and crafts kits, Nerf toys, light globes, super hero figures, Tonka trucks, train kits, play tents, robotic toys, Hatchimals Pixies and surprise eggs, science kits, board games, Jellycat toys, science kits, bitzee toys
For Teens and Tweens:
